MAYFLY 展 XIX + BYOB
 
안녕하세요, 2019년 6월 29일 (토) 6PM에 열릴  MAYFLY 展 XIX 에 참여하실 작가님들을 모십니다. 이번 전시에서는 뉴미디어 (디지털) 작가님들을 모시려고합니다.
 
MAYFLY 제19번 째 전시 공간에서는 선정된 작가분들께서 여러 표면 위에서 작품들을 구현 하실 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 합니다. 전시 이름인 “Bring Your Own Beamer”를 본따서 작가님들께서는 각자 소유하고 있는 Beamer (프로젝터/비머)를 가져오시면 됩니다.
 
의아해 하시는 분들께서는http://www.byobworldwide.com/에 게재되어있는 있는 세계 여러나라들의 BYOB 이벤트들을 예시로 봐주시면 감사하겠습니다.
 
이번 전시공간은 설치예술과 퍼포먼스로 쓰이기에도 최적화 되있음을 알려드립니다.
반면에 2D는 프로젝터로 비춰진 형태가 아닌 이상 전시 대상이 아님임을 알려드립니다.  
 
▶공모는 5월 20일 (월) 자정까지 받습니다! 이번 전시장소는 2호선 문래역 근처입니다. 정확한 전시장소는 추후에 알려드리도록 하겠습니다. ******EXTENSION to 6월 10일!********
▶전시는 6월 29일에 오후6시부터 오후10시까지입니다. 설치 제거는 오후 10시부터 시작합니다.
 
6월 29일 오프닝 날, 저녁 7시에 간단한 작가 소개 및 작품소개를 하시게 됩니다. (2-3분 작품/작가 소개)
 
항상 그래왔듯, MAY FLY 展 에는 참여작가 제한이 없습니다.
나이, 경력, 성별, 장르 등에 상관없이 열정적인 작가님들과 함께하고 싶습니다.
 
🔵꼭 설치는 전시일 오후 2시까지 오셔야 합니다. 늦을경우 연락 필수!! 연락 없으실 경우 자동으로 전시를 안하시는것으로 간주합니다.
🔵오프닝에 필히 참석하셔야 합니다. (6월 29일 6시부터)
🔵오프닝 날 7시에는 간단한 작가소개를 꼭 하셔야 합니다.
🔵참가비(대관비)는 작가 1분당 3,000원이며, 방문객은 입장료 3,000원을 내셔야 합니다.

Hello Artists, we are looking for creators for the MAYFLY 19 BYOB edition. In this particular group show, we are specifically looking for new media (digital) artists to exhibit.

The venue allows for designated artists to project their works on various surfaces. Artists will ‘Bring their Own Projector’ hence the title of the Mayfly being “Bring Your Own Beamer”

Artists can check out http://www.byobworldwide.com/ to review previous BYOB exhibitions around the world.
This venue is also best suited for performance and installation!

This venue is optimized for installation arts and performances.
2D will not be considered unless it is a projection.

▶Deadline for Submissions is May 20th (11:59 PM). The exhibition venue is nearby subway line no.2 Mullae station. The exact venue will be notified in the near future.
******DEADLINE EXTENSION to June 10th (11:59 PM) *******
▶The exhibition is on June 29th from 6 PM - 10 PM (one-day exhibition). Deinstall will begin at 10 PM.  

We will have an Artist Talk on opening night at 7 PM. Please prepare an introduction of yourself and/or your artwork for the opening (2-3min).
 
As always, there is no requirement to participate in the Mayfly exhibition!
Regardless of age, experience, or genre, we accept all passionate artists.
 
🔵Please come by 2 pm to set up on the opening day. If you are coming late, please let us know ahead of time (by e-mail)!! No show, no show. If you do not let us know you are coming late, you will not be allowed to participate.
🔵It is mandatory to attend the opening. (June 29th, 6 PM)
🔵It is mandatory to do a self-intro for yourself and/or your artwork at the opening. (starting from 7 PM)
🔵Participation fee (space rental fee) is 3,000KRW per artist. Guests will also pay a 3,000KRW space entrance fee.

You have to install and deinstall your artwork by yourself. Bring your own equipment (drill, screws, etc).
If you don’t have tools, please ask us ahead of time.
